Lacey 16 weeks

Our little princess is almost 4 months old and I can hardly believe it! She is growing sooooo fast! She just recently grew out of her Newborn size clothes and is fitting into 3 mos., which is fun because she gets to try on new outfits, but sad to see some of my favorite little things get too small. She can roll from tummy to back, which means "tummy time" is out of the question, and she is REALLY close to rolling from back to tummy (just needs a little nudge and she's there). She is still refusing to follow any kind of schedule, but she is such a sweetie, I have managed to forgive her. She smiles at just about anybody, especially daddy and brother, but she still mostly prefers to talk with mom. I think she is teething because she has recently had an obscene amount of drool, and she can't seem to keep her fists out of her mouth, as seen in the above pic. Sadly, she caught her brothers cold and has had a little cough and fever thing going on. Combine that with her teething and she has not been the most pleasant baby the past couple of weeks, so it's a good thing she's cute!

Around the house...

Last week was an interesting week, to say the least. We woke up Tuesday morning to a night's worth of snowfall-the 2nd time it has snowed in Albuquerque so far this winter. The snow kept coming throughout the day and the roads got icy. Wednesday, temperatures dropped. Thursday and Friday, Seth stayed home from work-and just about everyone around these parts decided it was not smart to leave the house. It was the coldest it had been in Albuquerque in over 20 years, with temparatures as low as -11 F! Everyone got crazy running their heaters-and the state of New Mexico ran out of gas, leaving several of our neighbors homes without heat for a couple of nights. Schools were closed all week long. We were so happy to see the sun come out by the weekend and melt all that snow and ice. And this week has been spent trying to recover from basically taking last week off and hanging around the house watching movies!

Also, Seth returned tonight from an overnight trip to Western New Mexico-and Lacey was very happy to see her daddy! She is such a little chatterbox these days and I am sad to say that I also think she is turning into quite the daddy's girl!
