Bear Lake

We spent a weekend in Bear Lake with some friends this summer and had a blast. It was both Seth and my first experience with Bear Lake and we fell in love! It is absolutely beautiful up there! We had a great time riding four wheelers, playing games, and relaxing. Jackson loved Bear Lake, too-in fact Jackson loved Bear Lake SO much he decided to stay up until 1:30 a.m.! Which is why my husband has a fake smile the next morning in this picture: Daddy and Jackson on the four wheeler

The view of the Lake from our cabin-obviously not so much a boating or swimming weekend, but we made the most of the unfortunate weather!

Jackson playing in the yard...he just loved being outdoors and all the wide open space!
Thanks Barrington's for the fun weekend!!

Jackson and "Elmo" a.k.a. Emma

We were so happy we had a chance to meet up with our old friends The Leonards this last week before they move to Dallas. They have been travelling around for the last year with work, so we haven't been able to get together. I think we were both surprised to see how much the kids have grown! It really was cute to watch them play together! They were just infants when we were hanging out! For some reason Jackson decided Emma was the same as "Elmo", so that's what he called his new pal for the rest of the night! So cute!
Good Luck Leonards!

Denver

Jackson and I went out to Denver in July for my cousin Cheryl's wedding. We travelled with my mom, dad, and sisters, so of course Jackson had all the attention he needed on the log drive. He was a great little traveller!

We did have to make a few stops along the way to keep Jackson from going absolutely crazy in his car seat. We stopped in a little town just outside of Denver and found this little creek right next to the gas station! Jackson was not a happy camper when he finally had to stop throwing rocks and get back into the car!

My cousin cheryl and I just after the wedding! Congratulations Cheryl!

The Woodbury girls

The wedding was in the most beautiful garden, which of course meant Jackson had to be out exploring!

Jackson even made a new friend on the trip...Lucy the lab. This kid just loves animals, I think even better than people...
