Mommy's little helper

Now that Jackson is standing and cruising, he is perfectly happy to help mom by unloading the dishwasher (even if the dishes haven't been washed yet!) He is obsessed with unloading things right now. He just grabs whatever is close by and tosses it out of the way so he can move on to the next thing! Some more of his favorite things to unload include: all the bottom cupboards and drawers in the kitchen, the cupboard that holds all the DVD's, his wipes containers, and his toy box! He sure is keeping mommy busy!

Glitter Gels!

My parents sent me some $$ for passing the NCLEX, and I decided I wanted to treat myself to some glitter gels! They are so cute! I kept seeing them everywhere I went, and I new I had to get some! To do glitter gels, they basically just polish your toes with this gel stuff and then pour glitter over the top! There are tons of cute colors and the gel doesn't chip like nail polish, so it lasts forever! They sparkle so much in the sun and they are the cutest thing ever. Thanks mom and dad!

Manners

Jackson has started eating real people food now and therefore sits at the table with us while we eat dinner. He loves trying new things and has actually eaten quite an extensive menu over the past week or so. It is so fun to watch him examine the food and grin when he realizes he likes something! However, I know eventually I am really going to have to buckle down and enforce some manners at the dinner table, considering Seth (my eldest :)) was spitting his green beans out and making Jackson (my youngest) do this:

Passed!

I passed my boards and now I am officially a Registered Nurse! It is such a relief to no longer have that test hanging over my head! I was pretty nervous to go take the test-especially considering I would lose my position at work if I didn't pass! And of course the night before Jackson decided to wake up at 1230 a.m. and stay up until 230 a.m. for some unknown reason! It was pretty frustrating since I had to be at the test in Salt Lake at 800 a.m.! Not to mention I took off about three weeks from studying before I went and took the test! I am so excited to be official now! I can finally get my badge changed so it says "RN" rather than "Patient Care Assistant"-now hopefully the patient's and doctor's will stop giving me funny looks when I tell them I am the nurse! ;)

Picnic

Last night we decided to pack up our Sunday dinner and head up Provo canyon for a picnic! It was really fun to be outside and it sure felt better than our hot house! Jackson absolutely loved getting out of the house and crawling around in the grass! There were a couple of kids kicking a soccer ball around in the grass nearby and Jackson kept crawling over to try and catch the ball! They had to stop their game several times because Jackson would be crawling in the middle of it to try and get a hold of the ball! I am convinced he thinks he is already a big boy!
Family Pic (We couldn't get Jackson to look at the camera, because he was watching the soccer ball)

Giving mommy kisses (he even started making sound effects!)

can you say CHEESE?

The new addition

Yep, it's true! Seth and I bought a scooter this week. Since Seth is no longer working in Salt Lake, and is now back in school-we decided it was time to down size and get this bad boy! We sold the Corolla in no time at all and picked this scooter up just a few days later... it gets 80 miles to the gallon and costs a whopping $4.00 to fill up! It took a little getting used to, but now Seth and I agree that the scooter is much more fun than driving around in a car! I have been taking the scooter to work (about a mile away) and it really is so fun to zip around on it (at a maximum of 45 mph!). However, it can be a little chilly driving home on it at 5 a.m., so I've learned to pack a sweater along when I go to work! We love our new scooter!

One Year!

Yesterday my baby turned One Year Old! I can't believe he has been a part of our family for a whole year. It seems like just yesterday Seth and I were anxiously awaiting the arrival of our baby boy. And I can still remember every minute of the last 24 hours before he was born. How did my little darling get to be so big!

Jackson has brought so much joy to our little family and he keeps us laughing every day! It has been such a pleasure to watch him grow and be there to see him learn new things. He is so full of energy and so curious-he keeps me on my toes. He already has such a little personality. He loves to dance when he hears music playing. He loves to throw things, especially balls, and I am positive he already knows he is a boy. He throws little tantrums when he doesn't get his way, which aren't especially cute, but they show me that he is becoming his own little person with his own little thoughts. He is very social. He loves to smile and talk to strangers and he loves to make new friends. He loves to swim and he especially loves going down the slides with mom and dad. He points and whines when he sees the slides and I am pretty sure he will be a fearless little toddler. When daddy comes home, he knows it is time to play. When he needs to cuddle, he wants his mom. He climbs and scoots and is just barely getting up on all fours! We love you little Jacko boy!

Jackson "dancing" (ignore the awful videography!)

Last night we had a birthday party for Jackson at the park! He had a lot of fun playing in the grass and being outside! We were so glad all our friends could be there to celebrate with us!
